Building Belonging is an educational platform that strives to support people within the trades industry by encouraging more diverse hiring policies and creating a safe workspace for everyone.
They cover topics from gender and cultural inclusion to ethical hiring practices and maternity leave – leaving no topic untouched.
Our brief was to help create a podcast platform that enabled them to unpack the kinds of challenges they were up against, and the solutions they’re seeking.
We created Building Belonging, a six-part podcast and a long-form film series hosted by chippies Genevieve Black and Chris Donnelly. Each episode spoke with industry leaders about how they’re paving the way for a more diverse trades industry.
Today, Building Belonging has become a platform for TradeCareers and partners BCITO, Te Pukenga and Waihanga Ara Rau. The content was designed to flow down throughout these networks and become a resource for decision makers, employers and staff around the country.
