The comics were released under creative commons and adapted by a number of countries, resonating so strongly with audiences that the work went globally viral. Off the back of this, Daylight was born. We became renowned as the experts in taking complex, scientific information and making it simple, beautiful, entertaining and accessible to understand.
Working alongside the technical, communications and risk teams at the World Health Organization, we then tackled further topics such as vaccine development and safety, misinformation, and vaccine equity.
With these learnings, we developed a world-leading approach to humanising scientific topics, working with domain experts and distilling their knowledge into digestible pieces of content that resonated with audiences, despite their dwindling attention spans and communication fatigue.
From creating multi-part editorial series and report designs to animated film series and social collateral – our process flexed to fit all audiences and forms. Our work has since been taken to global leaders’ summits at the United Nations, international governments all over the world, as well as here in Aotearoa.
